Michael J Friedhoff, Mr.

Atlas Technical Consultants

Michael Friedhoff, CPG-11093, is also a Kentucky Professional Geologist and currently a Senior Project Manager and Environmental Group Manager at Atlas Technical Consultants in Cincinnati, Ohio.  Michael has over 25 years of experience in the industry, including managing and conducting hydrogeologic, environmental, geophysical, and Subsurface Utility Engineering projects throughout the Midwest. His recent experience has led him to work on several brownfield projects, as well as large scale construction projects for highway and building design conducting geophysical investigations, involving seismic refraction, electromagnetic conductivity, ground penetrating radar, electrical resistivity and Multi-channel Analysis of Surface Waves methodology. Michael has a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the University of Cincinnati, a Master of Science degree from the University of Toledo in Geology, with an emphasis in Geophysics, and a Master of Business Administration degree from Xavier University.

WIN Waste Innovations

Dave Follett, CPG-12034, is a Licensed Professional Geologist in Indiana (#IN2578) and Environmental Compliance Manager at WIN Waste Innovations.  His career in the industry began in 2008. Since then, Dave has broadened his knowledge in the geological sciences and gathered a diverse range of solid waste and environmental experience which has utilized to manage a variety of projects that includes groundwater and explosive gas compliance at solid waste facilities, statistical analysis, environmental site assessments and permitting. Dave has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and has been a member of the Ohio Section’s Executive Committee since 2019 serving as Member-At-Large (2019), Treasurer (2020 to 2022) and President-Elect (2022), President (2023), and Past-President / President-Elect (2024).

Robert E Andrews, Mr.

City of Columbus - Department of Public Utilities

Robert Andrews, CPG-11975, is a Licensed Professional Geologist in Indiana and currently the Wellfield Protection Coordinator for the City of Columbus, Division of Water. Prior to joining the City in 2007, Robert worked for 17 years as a Geologist for several consulting firms and the Kentucky Geological Survey on various remedial and resource investigations. While at the Survey, Robert worked on projects estimating the availability of coal resources, using remote-sensing and drilling techniques to locate groundwater supplies in fracture rock, and assessing non-point source pollution within a river basin in the eastern part of the state. Robert has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of Wooster and a Master of Science degree from the University of Kentucky. Robert has been a member of the Ohio Section’s Executive Committee since 2014 serving as Member-At-Large (2014 to 2016), Treasurer (2017 to 2019), President-Elect (2019 & 2021), Past-President (2021), and President (2020 & 2022).  Robert is also a representative of the AIPG Advisory Board and is on the AIPG National Executive Committee for 2023.

Michelle C Torres, Ms.

Bowser-Morner, Inc.

Michelle Torres, MEM-2972, is a Geologist and Assistant Manager of the Dayton Engineering and Environmental Services Department at Bowser Morner, Inc.  Michelle completed her Bachelor of Arts in geology and environmental studies at Oberlin College in 2010, and her Masters of Science in hydrogeology from The Ohio State University in 2012.  At The Ohio State University, her research focused on the origins of paleokarst in central and northwest Ohio, linking the high porosity Newburg Zone to flank margin caves, which form on the margins of carbonate islands where fresh and salt water mixing causes dissolution.  After six months as a cave guide at the Oregon Caves National Monument, she started her career in environmental consulting.  She has 10 years of experience in routine and assessment environmental monitoring, environmental permitting, drone aerial mapping, and construction and demolition debris landfill and processing facility licensing.

Paul D Chasco, Mr.

Natural Resources Mangagement

Paul Chasco, CPG-12024, is an Indiana Professional Geologist, Kentucky Professional Geologist, Pennsylvania Professional Geologist, and Tennessee Professional Geologist and currently a Geologist with Natural Resources Management, LLC in Sylvania, Ohio. Paul has over 24 years of experience conducting environmental investigations across the United States, mostly in the Great Lakes, Ohio Valley, and Mississippi Valley regions. More recently, Paul has begun working on projects related to the aggregate mining industry, including exploration, hydrogeological investigations, and water quality investigations. Paul graduated from North Dakota State University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science in Earth Science and graduated from the University of Toledo in 1997 with a Master of Science in Geology.

Lauren Decker

Eagon & Associates, Inc.

Lauren Decker, is a hydrogeologist at Eagon & Associates, Inc. in Columbus, Ohio.  Lauren received her B.S. in Geology from the University of Dayton in 2016 and her M.S. in Earth Sciences from The Ohio State University in 2023.  After graduating and completing an internship with the ODNR Division of Geological Survey, Lauren began her career in groundwater consulting.  Her experience includes groundwater monitoring and reporting, statistical evaluation and data interpretation, hydraulic testing, geologic and hydrogeologic characterization of the subsurface, and supervising drilling activity.
